The BWCAW has a maximum group size of nine people and four watercraft. All overnight and day-use visitors must have a travel permit. Quotas for these permits, however, only restrict permits from May 1 - September 30 for overnight visitors and day-use motor visitors. Each reservation requires a nonrefundable $12 fee and there is a $10 per person per trip fee for overnight use.

Quetico has a maximum group size of nine people. Camping permits are required for overnight trips from May 20-September 4. Each reservation requires a $9 fee (Can. funds) and there is a camping fee of $12 per person per night (Can. funds). Youth ages 6-17 are charged a $5 per person per night camping fee (Can. funds).
