Flambeau River Information Available (res5)
Price County Tourism Department sent the MCA a nice packet regarding canoeing the Flambeau River in north central Wisconsin. It has all the maps of the Flambeau and route descriptions. Put in-take outs. Shuttle services. They say "The North and South Forks of the Flambeau River offer peaceful meandering sections for the novice, and rapid whitewater areas for the expert canoeist. Local outfitters and guides are available to provide equipment and shuttle service for your canoeing and kayaking adventures. Designated campsites and picnic areas are located along both scenic river routes". I've paddled the Flambeau and it is fun and exciting. Nice rock outcropping to lounge on.
